Introducing the new staff team

PIMHS - team
L-R: Emma, Clare and Annabelle

PIMHS are delighted to announce that they have appointed three new members of staff who joined the team in February 2023.

Clare Cook joins as our Development Manager. Clare’s previous role was in Social Prescribing but she has worked in infant and maternal health previously. She is mum to a 7-year-old, and a volunteer director at a day care centre in her local community. She will be leading on all strategic, financial and operational matters for the organisation, and will report directly to the Board of Trustees.

Emma McDowall is our Communications Officer. Emma joins us from a Home-Start scheme, where she was manager for 2 years, during which time she had her first baby. Emma struggled with the transition to being a mum, and has since become increasingly passionate about supporting others in the perinatal period. She has experience in education, social care and the legal sector.

Annabelle Openshaw will be covering the post of Everyone’s Business Co-ordinator while Rebecca French is on maternity leave. Annabelle’s background is in publishing and marketing for the legal sector, but, motivated by her own postnatal experiences, she has changed career and is delighted to be joining the PIMHS team and fighting for the care and support that every parent deserves.

Clare, Annabelle and Emma join the two Participation Officers, Kat and Rach who were already part of the PIMHS team. We are really excited about the potential that these appointments open up for PIMHS, particularly the two brand new roles.
