The PIMHS staff team attended the closing event for the Scottish Government Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Programme Board today. Among others, the event featured contributions from:
- Hugh Masters (Chair) and Roch Cantwell (Vice Chair) of the Programme Board,
- Anne McFadyen (Chair), Infant Mental Health Implementation and Advisory Group
- Leanne Anderson (Fund Manager for PIMH at Inspiring Scotland)
- Kevin Stewart, MSP (Minister for Mental Health, Wellbeing and Social Care)
- Clare Haughey, MSP (Minister for Children & Young People)
- and our very own Participation Officer, Rach Barlee
New PIMHS Development Manager, Clare Cook, said ‘it’s been so inspiring to be at this event today to hear about the fantastic work that has been done in the last four years across all sectors to promote perinatal and infant mental health in Scotland. We were particularly delighted to witness the launch of the Voice of the Infant: best practice guidelines and Infant Pledge, something that our 2 Participation Officers have worked so hard to help develop. It’s clear, however, that a lot remains to be done, and so we look forward to working with our colleagues at the Scottish Government, NHS Boards, as well as those in health, social care and the voluntary sector, to keep up the momentum.’
